Perspective

Entertainment through the lens of people.

Thoughts, stories, lessons and observations from nearly two decades behind the scenes of entertainment.

Artist management. Leadership. Touring. Business. Creativity. Faith. People.

Not everything here is a rule.

It’s perspective.

01

MANAGEMENT

Artist management is a people business before it’s anything else.

A great manager isn’t supposed to be the answer to every problem. Their job is to understand the artist’s vision, identify what is needed, bring the right people into the room, and help everyone move in the same direction.

Early in an artist’s career, managers often have to wear every hat. But growth requires knowing when to build a team, delegate responsibility, and evolve with the artist.

The best managers aren’t everything. They’re the conduit to the right everything.

02

LEADERSHIP

Leadership isn’t about having the biggest title in the room.

It’s about understanding the people around you, communicating clearly, making difficult decisions, taking responsibility, and creating an environment where other people can do their best work.

I believe great leaders should know a little about everything—not because they need to do everyone’s job, but because they should respect every role enough to understand it.

And sometimes leadership is much simpler than we make it: answer the email, show up prepared, have the difficult conversation, say thank you, and treat people well.

03

STORYTELLING

I’ve spent much of my career telling other people’s stories.

Through photography, video, touring, artist management, and entertainment, I learned that the most interesting part of a story is rarely just what happened.

It’s why it happened.

The decisions. The relationships. The mistakes. The moments nobody saw.

Whether I’m behind a camera or sharing an experience from my career, I’m interested in finding the human story underneath everything else.

04

BUSINESS

Creativity and business aren’t opposites.

The best entertainment executives I’ve encountered understand both worlds. They can look at numbers, strategy, contracts, teams, and operations while still understanding how to communicate with creative people.

I believe you should learn a little about every part of the business surrounding you. You don’t need to be an expert at everything, but understanding how the pieces work together makes you better at your own job—and prepares you for opportunities you may not see coming.

Know your role. Understand the room. Keep learning.

05

FAITH

My faith shapes how I see success, leadership, relationships, and purpose.

For me, Christianity isn’t something separate from business. The principles I believe in—service, humility, integrity, grace, discipline, gratitude, and treating others the way you would want to be treated—should show up in how I work and how I lead.

Entertainment can make it easy to focus on titles, access, money, and recognition. Faith reminds me that those things are temporary.

How we treat people along the journey matters more.

READING

Ideas don’t develop in isolation.

Books, Scripture, conversations, experiences, and other people’s perspectives have shaped the way I think about entertainment, leadership, business, and life.

These are some of the things that have shaped mine.
